Going. Continuing the hard thrash. 240 acres to pick up yet. Other wheat standing. Then canola. Or which ever dries first.

Finished Sept 26, dried about 5000 bu wheat, combined canola then wheat was dry. Guess we are on another planet this year, since Sept 6, only 13th and 14th stopped by a shower. We have lived the harvests from hell also, 2007, 2009, 2010 muddy hell, 2012 hailed with 20" rain. In 2009 most canola in area sat all of Oct, some combined dry Nov 17! But that was rare, few years without harvest stress. Most at 75% in area, everyone going hard till last night. Mother Nature rules.

Had an old timer around here that used to say that Sept was for shooting ducks and Oct was for harvesting crops. More crops harvested in Oct over the last 50 years than Sept.

I think that thing would get wedged between some of our hills, sorry for being no help but 45 feet in our land would be challenging. .... is it hinged, would have to be.

Fj, considering we are like 25 miles apart, you sure seem to have caught the better weather. NOTHING was done in this area until last Monday... Showers right now, and had rained a bit over night.

Had many cloudy days but showers seemed south of #5, never got here. How was weather Melfort-Tisdale? Humidity was too high many days also. Still no rain here, combines must be going.
