Lodged wht right now is costing some guys - imo - the most important asset on every farm - TIME ...well, and fuel lol

BTW, absolutely no one on here got my - "what the most valuable thing on the farm" thing back in June - no one. I should have said asset.
A lot of very good responses - but I worded it wrong. And family is still #1 most valuable thing - don't get me wrong, but.....
"Time" for seeding, time for spraying, time for fungicide "timing" - and last harvest time or "time" to harvest - "time" is the most valued forgotten thing to bring you back to family.. think about it..
what's that ole saying - oh yeah - time is money... Money makes the world go around.
Oh yeah - time sitting in a line at an elevator....
That's where Carberry or Muchmore "may" fit for us , may not but we will see, but we gained 20% time and fuel with the same yield and it had better protein at harvest.
Kugler , we gained 30% "time" seeding from not filling as much - time that can not be replaced in Western Canada 90% of the "time" - with out spending a dime on machinery or extra time top dressing.
Enough about father time - be safe at the last of harvest guys. Just food for thought - I had time ....

Sorry to say , but way too many got way too comfortable with the 1 in 50 yr harvests the past four years .
We need a good HRSW that can handle adversity , early maturity , good protien and ease of harvesting to increase "time" of harvest with quality and grade .
Later maturity , tall straw variety's are NFG IMO - even if they are .5 plus protien - even worse with higher fertility

And how in the hell did you save 30% of your seeding time by using Kugler? You still put roughly 70% of your fert thru the air seeder I'm guessing. So you saved 30% each time you filled and I know I spend less the 20% of my total seeding filling. So you saved at most 5%. Just saying...but yes I agree with you. Maximize your time and efficiencies. Especially at seeding and harvest time.

Believe there is an AgCanada-grower-industry meeting today in Winnipeg on our variety registration system.
Be interesting to hear what, if anything, comes out of it.
