How can you sell higher when it grades a #1. There's nothing higher than a #1.

Cash ##1 durum is worth 12 bucks right now.

How would you sell higher?

Sell for almost double in ND. Spot bid for high end durum was $20-21/bus. With the dollar difference, that's almost $24. I'll pocket the $12 profit. Now if only I had 30k kicking around...

I agree with this quote from above:

It means he doesn't appreciate that farmers lack the resources and power to confront the grain companies, which in a dispute often bully the farmer who can't adequately defend himself. As always nobody is fighting for farmers and instead we just take what we can get and are expected to feel lucky about it. Tired of the whole thing. Another example of a whole lot of check offs and no benefits back to us.

You mean our "partners" aren't treating us fairly. I want to comment on Braveheart's abiljty to change partners. Well the railways are almost the only option for shipping and some people feel lucky to have one terminal within reasonable hauling distance. Its not that simple for everyone.

Sorry boys, but I have to be a ****ing prick here. Why are some of you even mentioning US prices for durum? Why it was only a couple years ago all I heard on here was if the f'in Wheat Board was gone are prices would be the same. Guess not enough homework done, before we opened the barn door? There are a lot of simple things that should have been done. The no brainer things like transparent reporting about sales etc.

I thought they had good advice on how to implement it.

The ag minister didn't listen or act.

I must accept responsibility for cheering on the open market when I should have been watching that the little things got done.

Perfect example is issuing an order in council setting fines within it. And the transport minister won't accept responsibility to act. They hire an enforcement officer.

For **** sakes the minister is the enforcement officer.

Zee where did you see the 20 buck bids? Trucked into minot milling highest bid was 13.12 usd. Right now they are at 12.77

I would have thought that grain that could move south logistically would do so easier.

A north American solution. Some grains move south, others move north. Then east and west.

Poorly planned. Poorly implemented.

Now can the people more involved that Ritz actually listened too accept theirs.

Klause, those were mill bids in southern parts of ND, or even further south. Broker I talked to said he had heard $22. But that is elevator to mill. No farmer will see that yet. Freight, etc will eat it up.

Loaded rail 1 15% px was $14-15 today.
