By your same logic what value is surveying farmers?

It's about transparency. At all stages.

Then we all benefit. I have no trouble with graincos blending grain as long as farmers are paid a reasonable price all things considered.

Just wondering why you would do survey when all grain is already weighed in and documented using an accounting process under the CGC regulation.

Terminal receipts and stocks are listed by grade in the Grain Statistics weekly.
        No primary elevator grades though.

The most recent report ending Sept 28 shows the vast majority of HRSW stocks are #1,2.

Durum most in the top three grades.

It will be very interesting to see what happens as new crop hits the terminals.

I still can't understand why anyone even reports anything to statscan.. I simply tell them it's none of their biz and go ahead and send the statscan cops. RCMP or whoever they feel is neccesary to throw me in jail.. So far no arrests have been made.

Stormin their was a real shortage of Corn in the USA a few years back yet USDA took grain from two years out that might be grown and added it to supplies to make it look like their was enough grain to go around. Then the USA gov had to cut support for ethanol because they actually would run out of Corn. If in reality the system worked and the USA did run out of corn. Our barley wheat oats all would have doubled in Canada but it didn't . Why because USDA changed numbers for their own protection. This thing that the market knows is Bull shit. Its manipulated to the full extent.

X2, it's always in BIG business interest and the 98% NOT farming. We get thrown under the bus every time for the good of the many.

The only thing that made the numbers work in the states was early harvests and refilling the pipeline.

This late harvest in the states will reset their calculations. Or at least they should.

                Same thing is happening here.

Weber has space at 60 percent. Where did that big crop go?????
