And then there is the one about soiling your own nest. Maybe some Industry players can learn something from that. When people are pushed, promised one thing and it doesn't materialize othersare surprised by the wrath unleashed.

What a stupid system. Sell your crop just above the cost of production then "participate" in the "market" by buying calls and puts and making margin calls.

A while back furrow said it well, buy a farm, give it a try. Armchair farmers with absolutely no skin in the game advising those who have their necks stretched over the chopping block with their asses bare to the breeze.

But what ever you guys do don't stop posting here because of being called out or you disagree with what's being said.

Call me what you want, my middle aged skin is getting too thick to be offended by comments made by others.

    Cheers.......

bucket, an elevator will pay you the lowest amount possible to make the largest profit for themselves.

      It isn't rocket science.

There are other ways to get more for wheat.... If more people started trading and working the markets... using brokers... selling to end users (we have that freedom now)... elevators tonnage they handle goes down. As that happens, they become more competitive.

I point black told a grain buyer yesterday. Good luck. At your prices not a tonne of grain will hit your pit.

Is that why the cwb doesn't want my suggestions about the new elevator. Funny way to get farmer support.

So you are saying that on behalf of the graincos because I mentioned there translucent pricing on basis?

At least you made it clear who your masters are.

A mouth piece for industry. Interesting.

For all my faults (and there are many), I put do put my name out every time I speak. I can be held accountable. I like it that way. Makes things fun here for and is an advantage I have everyone else that posts here.

I suspect my experience with the CWB and UGG has provided a pretty background in the mechanics of how the market works logistically and more important, how they manage risk (delivery and price). At the end of the day that is my role.

Having said, don't know why I am wasting a beautiful day inside.

Manage risk. That almost made me fall off my chair laughing.

            You can't be serious.

The graincos took a minus 2 dollar basis all winter. Got farmers to call their MPs on their behalf about rail movement.

They use mpls future and won't convert to cdn dollars and they won't use the canadian markets because they would have to.

Then to top it off they get farmers to pay the freight and elevation to the coast and sell the grain for over 10 bucks a bushel.

There is no risk other than the government catching onto their scam but won't considering how they botched the open market and the rail file.

Oh shit are we talking about the graincos or the old cwb. I can't tell the difference.

                Horse

                That's a very good question.

Why do I need millions in land and machinery when I could make 100 grand paper trading?

me thinks, being the dumb****led farmer that I am, the physical grain has to be grown to make it all work.

Don't see many people eating paper for dinner.

Billionaires do it all on paper, remember we are peasant class, need to provide for upper class so that they can "play", all the way to the off shore bank..

Is this a Saskatchewan Wheat Pool local meeting circa 1951? Are we in a United Church basement or is this the internet?

I think the jd green and the klausette sisters like driving 12 hours to get the big one. Then go home and tell stories.
