Pardon me, it was supposed to read: it WASN'T precipitaion........

Man I especially dispise hereing of people dying while farming. Especially the way we're treated. Another hurt family, what happens when police or firefighters lose their lives while on duty, is what we're doing any less valiant or honourable. Wasn't farming at one time one of the higher risk occupations? Another unsung hero.....

SF3, I'm sorry I didn't understand what you were trying to say. There have just been so many threads on here that go down the road of low prices, poor crops, nothin ain't worth nothin, that thats all I saw coming.

We always maintain that safety is first. We have to have fun doing what we do as well. But there is no crop, no cow, no,piece of machinery, no amount of money that is worth the health and safety of the people here.

It's nice that you finally got what everyone else understood was being said. Go back to lobbying in Ottawa they speak your language.

I'm not not sure I know what you mean Forage.

AgriVille is a lot like Ottawa. There are people who like to find ways to adapt to change. There are people here who like to push change. There are NFU types who have no vision, view everyone in business as a den of thieves, and who want the ag industry back in an ISIS- like Stone Age.

It's just like Ottawa without the travel.

Brave heart I here you but all the safety in the world can not prepare any one for what wet falls do.
Try being stuck as soon as you pull your combine in the field and drive 20 feet. Your starting at 11 or 1 depending on the frost dew or rain from last night. You have the grain cart driving a mile in because the back road is flooded so trucks cant get down it your loading in a neighbours dry spot on a hill or on a grid road. So Then you pull it out drive around the field and think wow I got this just dumb luck and start a GPS run. Down you go. Ah that's ok combine two goes past and around and creates a new line and down he goes, Well that's ok combine three has the 4x4 kit and will create a perfect line he gets to the end of field as your pulling one out and you realize he is stuck. This shit goes on all day and night you get good at pulling out then after doing this since early September, you get sloppy after the 100th time and accidents happen. Some you guys have no clue what playing in the mud does.
Adapting to change F?&k me were trying every thing to beat the hell out of this mud. New machines that dry land so you can see. Eddy match wont work because you cant light a fire with a blow torch so how can a match work.
The big boys left along time ago in this area because they couldn't adapt. Text book farming from Calgary or Toronto doesn't work.

SK3, when I talk adaptation, I mean farming without the Crow Benefit, or post CWB monopoly. Policy changes that require adaptation.

You're talking about mud. Mud is shit. It requires sun and wind.

I know all too well your situation with mud. We've had it as well. It was only a stroke of luck we were out of it this year. It started literally 10 miles in every direction from me.

Yes those who didn't adapt after the Crop and CWB have other issues.
I still believe its us farmers against all industry. They need us to keep the game going. If we don't feed a crop, grow a crop, and ship a crop. A lot of people are out of work. A lot.
If farmers could ever figure that out wow would we win. But hey in India a lot of farmers are Committing suicide this year because the inputs are going up. Hm what a system. Good thing that's not happening here.
Be safe all its another wet cloudy morning. Ah hope the wind comes out and grain will go through the dryer. Looks good for next week, Geterdone.

Not trying to be an ass here saskfarmer, this is a harvest from hell. Just a little advice, i think i see your problem. Shut the ****ing gps off, forget about that beautiful straight line, and drive around the potholes instead. Just be safe, we do not need to hear you were in a accident too. Be safe everyone.

SF3, do you think no-till is helping? Keeping that straw standing will just trap snow and keep the wind from drying your land out -ours too. We are going to burn the sloughs, use the Wishek on those soggy spots. No problem finding them. We have similar problems. We will have to adapt to this weather pattern, but then just as soon as we duck to the left, there will be an open winter and it will be dry as a fart next year. LOL

By freeze up we will have half the acres black from the kelly and burn 1000 black. Yes adaptation is a must. Then a dry winter and windy spring and were dry! Ah farming, welcome to Saskatchewan. Ha ha

                          Braveheart

                          Just listen to you"

There are NFU types who have no vision, view everyone in business as a den of thieves, and who want the ag industry back in an ISIS- like Stone Age".

Comparing Farmers here on Agriville who don't agree with your ideology, past and present Ag program and policy changes, to a group of terrorist. Is very extreme to say the least.

Just how great was the elimination of the Crow Rate. Railways along with the handling system were to become more efficient. All that happened is branch lines being torn out, elevator closures and municipal roads being destroyed. I'm sure that the majority of posters on here would agree with me on that one especially with last years performance by railways and grain co.

As for the CWB dismantling, I have read here on Agriville several posters who wanted the CWB gone, second guessing themselves. The jury is still out on that one my friend.

Braveheart your arrogance is beyond belief. You post on here with comments about your neighbors tillage practices, how wrong they are and how your waiting for their failure at farming so you can buy them out. You brag about finding markets in the USA and shipping by producer car but then say you don't want to give away to many details. Like really who gives a hoot about your marketing decisions. You talk about going to Ottawa to lobby government. Why don't you climb down from your own pile and come back to earth.

Many posters on here comment how farmers should work together and somehow take on industry to improve or marketing power and bottom lines. Braveheart guys like you are the very reason it will never happen. You just think you are so much better than other farmers around you. So why don't you haul yourself back to Ottawa and discuss Ag issues with your political friends because then you will be amongst people of your own kind.
