Sask your thinking of planting 3300 acres of peas????

    Omg

Better throw another 1000 acres to the oats side of things.

    Reminds me of the saying...

Farming looks mighty easy when your plow is a pencil and your a thousand miles from a corn field.

Yes but costs will be watched very close in 2015. Dropping fert use by 20%
110 is 88 canola and 75 is 55 on hrs that's my ammonia. fert blend will stay the same or maybe down 20% also.
Soil tests are showing will work.

Just a note, we have soil tests back and wow, they are calling for a lot more needed in 2015 vs 2014.

Gotta make a buck. Screw the "vultures" Ha.

It's a result of three big crops in a row plus more than average rain. Last years tests showed good levels still at 24" but I think some nutrients have just leached out.

We band beside and below the seed while planting and do cut back a bit from recommended. We do tissue tests after and find fertility is usually more than adequate.

We have settled on 65 N on canola and 53 on Wheat at seeding then adding depending on weather , crop conditions and crop / fert prices

If US is mostly beans and they get another "bumper' like EVERY YEAR, price of any oilseed will be shit! So lots of oats and peas = prices go to crap. Wow lots of choice, no wheat?
