Some first class terminals being built. Farmers need to talk about it.

It will be sold and absorbed into the current grain handling company system. The competition bureau you speak of will make sure the CWB handling facilities, under construction and bought/purchased, will be distributed in such a way that facilitates competition(tongue in cheek) amongst the existing players. Just as it has when we went through the consolidation process with UGG, The Pools, and Viterra to Glencore. Why would this be any different?

I dont think so tim. Most farmers wont stand by and watch in my opinion.

            Just a thought!
I think we have enough elevators to handle our grain. None are buying shipping 24/7 yet.
What if the CWB were to build semolina plants and flour mills and become exporters of finished product. Leave the bulk system to those that have the elevators.
I don't know how Ritz has set up this getting ride of the CWB but if someone like FNA wants in they are interested in building fert plants why would they want to go head to head with grain Co's? Get right into end use market.

Surely someone out there wants milled grain.

It will be bought by one of the major players and then the competition bureau will enforce horse trading.....

Our sparse population(lack of demand for processed products)and our distance to highly populated areas will probably keep some value added from ever getting started. But it seems to have happened for canola, split peas and lentils to some extent. But alot of those crops still move out unprocessed.

Sorry to say but it will go to a multinational and soon, likely ADM, maybe Louis or CHS.

I have been phoning Ottawa to see who the lucky buyer is.

See where the cwb is pulling marketing reps from. Call the reps . They can't be stupid enough to leave without knowing who their master will be.
