Mussy, you don't have to attend a conservative nomination meeting. I was very careful to say a party of your choice.

That is why we are so fortunate. If you are suitably pissed , you have several other options to choose from

For me personally, organic doesn't have seed problems. Nor buy back problems anymore. Farmers were busy bulldozing out all the shelter belts on the farms they have been buying! And I got evergreen seedlings from Shand at Estevan a few years back. And farmers have the choice to bid on community pastures, which now presents the young guys a land base to buy from.

So my needs are mostly met. But choose another party of you are dissatisfied. But I do think farmers need to stay involved with decision makers. You won't get everything you want? But you won't end up with everything somebody else wanted. There are 40k farmers in asks and huge exports. You are valuable. Don't whine like a victim. You are a very important wealth creator who is needed. Pars.

Pars, you miss the point. Mustardman is being very logical and I assume he DOES vote for the party which most promotes his interests. He asks why do so many farmers vote against self interest. The party in power has cost us each on average tens of thousands of dollars a year and has made us have to work harder. Most farmers may vote for them again further eroding their own power( seeds next). Why?

Conservative candidate came to garner our support yesterday, sent him packing. Here's the door and here's the boot. He was beeming about the fact that their attack adds work. I pointed out that a party that could stand on its good record and clear policy wouldn't need to resort to bullying behavior. I pointed out all the ways they have hurt the West. Much the same as your list Mustard.

If Anderson ever calls. He won't. He will get the same earful. Told his person in Ottawa to make sure he has lots of time when he calls.

Botched the open market. Botched the rail file. Botched the agri stability file. Etc .

He has been there long enough to accomplished nothing.

You probably don't get far devouring your grassroots. Remember, federally the election is over at the Ontario border.
Here in Alberta, you rarely see politicians. Rural voters have been on autopilot for 50 years.

                There is no grassroots anymore.

They are mainstream and taking their pensions.

                Senate reform? MP pension reform?

                They joined the club.

Think money and power is gradually shifting to west.
Ontario and Quebec axis of power declining.
                  None too soon.

                    You are wrong.

The people are moving from the east to the west. The same people or attitude will **** things up.
