Canadian Pacific Railway would have been a good return over the last year. Too bad I was too busy bitching and moaning about inadequate rail service.

Sold some $420 Jan calls before harvest. It's been tense buy the time value was eroding faster than the futures increase. The recent drop is helping even more.

Hmmm...sense a trend here, short commodities(grains) and long equities. That trade actually started a couple of years ago, may be coming to an end... Funny how it has expressed itself here.

I traded 500 bushels of wheat for an old service truck. If I d have kept the wheat might have been stupid enough to seed it. He seeded it and can t sell the crop. I m driving my junky truck around.

Bought 90 feeder calves for $620 each and sold them 150 days later for $1500. That's on the real stock market. Not the pretending one that just shuffles money around.

It's likely also a once in a lifetime deal.

Good for you, Kato. You also carried the risk, but you probably have years of experience feeding cattle. Congrats. You deserve it. Pars
