We grow durum every year but I'm a bit worried that acres are going to double next year.

Hopper that would really through a wrench into their plans! More wheat less canola, it's the rotation. Next year some of us will be drier OR wetter never exactly as 2014. Missed frost this year so....

Durum peas and less canola. Does not matter how much durum is seeded. It is how much quality stuff is harvested that matters to next years price.

Ya, lots of Durum will be seeded but seems to be getting harder to produce good quality stuff.

              20% Faba beans
              20% hemp
              20% oats
              20% feed barley.
              20% peas plowdown
Faba beans are new to me. Hopefully they turn out ok, if not then I will have 40% plowdown.

                    Ummmm....the hemp seed market.
Manitoba Harvest and Hemp Oil Canada are two of the big reputable buyers.

Due to cross pollination issues I do not grow canola. I like to have an oilseed in rotation so I grow hemp. It's a poor mans canola.
