Its not only your puny production that might be affected. And thats why the chemical companies want to distance their liability; for "their products" as far as possible from their companies.
As an example of where this might be leading; it was possible in USA to successfully pressure a class action false advertising allegation about an unproven low glycemic index product. And no doubt the advertising was misleading and false.
But the fact is that both the defendant and applellant recommended settling because one side knew they had pushed the law as far as they presently could on a $1.99 proposed refund (and had scored a major public relations blow); while the otherside knew 2.9 million in legal fees on top a $5 Million settlement was the easiest way out.
