How many more dollars per tonne can you afford to forfeit for "adequate" rail service? I'm not willing to pay more, the revenue cap with all its flawed calculations ensures profit.

I called the R.M. office today to make them aware the CN rail line running through this RM didn't mow the shoulders of its right of way. Great for holding snow that the RM is responsible to remove. AND then they have the nerve to sue the RM for a train derailment because snow and gravel were packed between the rails and timbers of the crossing. But did they send a crew a day ahead of the train to check to clean the crossings like they used to? If they had maybe they would have noticed the build up. Does the RM get compensation for snow removal? Administrator says its a grey area, tracks and road intersect. My taxes(municiple and school) are about equal to what the RR pays the RM, called a grant in lieu of taxes.

Yea, the poor RRs. With all the freebies along the way. Like a spoiled ****kng brat. We're held ransom and some fail to acknowlege it and when someone tries to drive home the fact and has some suggestions, they're shot down. At least he made
    an effort to be heard.

Some of my best therapy I get is talking to people in Ottawa. It's good to know you can be that ****ing stupid and hold a good paying job.

Gives me hope that when or if I quit farming I can find a career and only use a portion of my thinking capacity to the point of a Walmart greeter.

Some suggestions? Sorry bucket has been stating the obvious for 6 months over and over and over. Easy to sit around and tell everyone they are doing everything wrong when you are not Willing to do anything other then tell everyone you have all the answers. While hiding with a fake name.

Sorry that may be offensive to a Walmart greeter. My apology.

I once asked a person in the transport department to talk to someone about grain movement . She asked if that was by air, rail or ground. I ****ing near hung up but since I was actually talking to a person I continued on.

          Yup its that bad.

I am not intending to tell anyone anything. If you are ok with the system don't read my posts.

At different times I have stated suggestions to make things better.

Here is one. For every 100 tonne contract an elevator signs a car is ordered for that delivery. Not waiting g or allocations later.

                2. When the contract is signed all discounts are prescribed. Including storage both ways. Freight rates. Late fees. Grade premiums and discounts.

I know for a fact you can not change wording of contract. They will cancel it immediately.

But I find it odd that the US can issue info about the number of cars they are behind and in canada we accept sub par service.

And to be clear who is dave4441?

                  It means nothing to me.

And as most know it is not wise to use your real name.

This website asked for a username.

I chose one. If you want to visit or chat get a hold of me. I am not that unpleasant. The printed word leaves you to interpret what I am saying in your view.

Speech and in person conversations can tell a different story.

We may find common ground who knows.

Hey. I remember when we had the cwb there was some sort of bidding going on between railroads within the last few years of cwb monopoly. I would think there was some sort of service on time attatched but was there. Does anyone k ow what I am talking about? Where the two railroads bid on the business. Mind you I dont think they would care. How did it work?

Bucket, Dave revealed who he is and that's ok, each can choose, and some prefer anonymity. I got to laugh if anyone sees me as a threat. I am an uneducated dirt farmer with an opinion, and dont care who likes or dislikes it. That died in the elementary school playground for me.

Hopper, are you referring to the CWB tenders? Grain cos tendered for delivery to CWB business. To my knowledge there was nothing special on the railway side besides car allocation after the split for the board. Even that was likely still based on the Bracken Formula, but I don't know.

Why the **** isn't there scheduled service. I all other modern countries and some that aren't you can set your watch to train service. Here you're lucky to be in the same month or even year from the time they say your cars will be spotted to the time they tell you they are spotted to when they actually show up on a sidding. Then you have 24hrs to load. Gimme a break. What a joke. What company does Dave own?

David Nobbs (306)460-9272. I challenge you to post your name and number bucket. Might cut down on the hyperbole.

And for the last time you can't buy 100 mt and order a car for March. It doesn't work that way. Grain cos don't have that option. They can only order cars for next week. I realize that is an issue but it is not the grain companies fault.

                              Don't know why I bother.

Bucket doesn't want hear actual facts

Instead talk about ways to force businesses to work how he thinks they should.

                              Maybe NDP have the answers!

Will one of you please explain to me how a CWB monopoly was bad but a rail monopoly is good? Maybe Dave doesn't like arbitrage?
