      A lot of the RR criticism comes from never-give-up wheat board supporters.
      Remember times when board did not get along with railways any better than grain companies do today.

        Hopalong.

        Actually no different today. Grain companies have always wanted to optimize use of the assets/terminals. Right grain in their facilities shipped in the right period to meet a customers timing requirements.

          Just like a farmers relationship with a grain company, when there is conflict between shipper and railway it is usually best settled without going to court or government intervention.
          Government can set the rules but things work best when both parties respect them as is the case with most business.

            Hopalong, I hate monopolies. Doesn't matter if it's wheat or trains. Monopolies are toxic to free markets and bad for the economy.
