I guess since my ideas don't suit you which is sort of odd because they are not really political just good for the farm community as a whole, I will put my efforts elsewhere. Good to know you are the membership evaluator and don't need any more ideas or members.

Since I don't aspire to be anything more than I am now, a Grain Producer, but if I were to, I certainly wouldn't be diddling around on an internet forum where my words will forever be quotable and used as reference points if I were to reach a higher state.... Just saying.

Yeah I guess this could really hurt my political aspirations. Shit. Good advice farmaholic. Maybe you could be my advisor?

I don't think so, you're a bit of a loose cannon and I'd likely have trouble keeping you reined in. But then again, maybe some of my tact, diplomacy and debonair language would rub off on you. You seem like the "podium" type....

I don't think that comment was for you bucket.

So, the rumors are true. The Shitstorm that is SK wheat is dire.

If Gust is so scared of the NFU that seems to be the one to join. Feel the POWAH!
As for the SWDC, the vote return was about 10% which is the same for all of the other commissions. Too bad it wasn't more but it is right on normal. As far as I know only two of the SWDC board are NFUers, and it appears that one is the chair. Whoopty-doo. I have been on many boards and councils and the chair has never automatically gotten his way. If he tried, he didn't stay as chair.

Funny thing is the whole wheat commission thing was a wheat growers idea.

Now they shit on it because they can't pull the strings.

It was and still is a bad idea until they consolidate and follow some of the work the dakota commission does.

The wheat commissions need to consolidate since most issues are Western Canadian issues.
It should be the Prairie Wheat Commission similar to the Prairie Oat Growers Association.

Currently we are getting two wheat deductions off of our checks. (Sask and Western Canada deduction.)

Are there not provincial oat commissions as well? I thought at least Alberta had a provincial commission.

For those selling grain into the USA; everyone pays the "North Dakota Wheat commission levy"....not Canadian ones.

Just another angle that comes up with changes from past ways of marketing.

Oliver, it should be a cereals commission. Those guys in AB with barley and wheat need to put the big boy pants on and get rid of half the directors/expenses and just make a cereal commission.

Crops like oats, trit, rye, could benefit greatly from the millions that wheat and barley take in instead of starving on the sidelines.

Maybe it will happen, but i'm not holding my breath.

I don't think there is a Sask oat commission.
Only am aware of the POGA.....Alberta could be different and have a provincial commission.

Wheat has two separate deductions on cheques I do know for sure. I wouldn't be opposed to the prairie wide cereals commission idea tweety.
