I agree with bucket, farmers will always be divided and conquered by BIG business, has always been so and never will it change. And Governments stand and watch, using our selves as reasons to NOT act.
    Merry bickering Christmas.

It should not pay to truck grain from edmonton to idaho. Markets are not arbitraging we need to ask ourselves why.

And I can go without posting.

I like opposite views, people think that way.

If you think trucking grain from Edmonton to Idaho is a positive development well then you have to be onside with the cwb when they trucked grain to thunder bay last year?

                  Great country is right
                  just trying to protect it.

or at least until the the Harper's and Mulroney's get a hold of it.

                  and start parting it out.
(and that is a petty problem? Huh )

                  Mulroney unnecessarily gave away our
sovereignty in the free trade deal.

Harper selling or giving away stuff
                  the country worked hard for.

public research (once this stuff is gone to the private sector we are gonna pay huge royalties forever.) for stuff we already owned . talk about brain dead.

there is no public good or national interest in this Govt. (a great Canadian thing or at least it was)

I just do not get it. what kind of
Canadian would facilitate the extortion of their fellow countrymen?

whether it be patent law , regulation, sell outs or trade deals.
all creating little cartels ,monopolies and captive markets.
                  For who? one guess.

good for them , but oh no not for you
                  mr. supply management farmer.
you can not have tariffs, see that's bad.

you see north American tire manufacturers can have tariffs, so consumers pay 50% more.
                  but that's different,

as Conservatives we don't even talk about that.
because they are our "good" friends like our other "good" friends .

and by the way Mr. farmer we already traded you off in the Euro trade deal.

You see Europe and USA have to dump their excess cheese somewhere.

we also had to give up rights to sell some generic drugs.
in return we got our beef quota increased , we were not filling what we had. but someday we might.

If for one minute i believed this govt. was about free enterprise, open fair markets, i would be fine.

but it is nothing more than a corporate puppet.

just close your eyes , wave the flag and have faith in the leader.
                  what could go wrong?

                      Food4u

That was a classic. I remember calling the cwb about that and asking why they did that considering they hadn't accepted 100 percent of the crop yet.

Then I asked why they couldn't have premiumed up a special call for what they needed instead of paying 50 bucks a tonne from the pool to do something that stupid.

But I see now where some people would approve of the logic or lack of it.

Blood flows better thru the brain when boiling. Lol.
