    Mansbridge and Harper interview

    http://www.cbc.ca/player/News/ID/2641027328/

Growing up there was a song by Ian Thomas called "Painted Ladies" and a Bottle Wine. Wow!!! Harper had his makeup put on with a putty knife. I didn't know Harper wore a wig, but it's very obvious he had some type of hair piece on. I guess he wants to compete with Justin's full head of hair.

Some great questions put forward by Mansbridge regarding energy and climate change.

First one. Harper gave speech in 2006 in England stating the he "Visions Canada as an energy superpower" Mansbridge than asks Harper, nothing has change in the eight and a half years you have been in power, no pipelines built, oil prices collapsing, and no progress. As usual Harper did his best to put the blame on everybody else such as the oil industry, scientific review, Obama, and so on and so on. Maybe if Harper was a little more diplomatic, and was willing to work in an open forum with all parties involved such as First Nations people, the provinces, the oil industry, the USA, maybe something could have been accomplished and pipelines could have been built.

Mansbridge then referrers to a second speech Harper gave in June 2007 in Berlin on climate change. Harper stated "Climate changes perhaps the biggest treat to humanity today, and we owe it to future generations to do what ever we can to address this world problem". Boy did Harper ever stumble on that one. He gave his standard answer of Canada will only do something when every other county in the world does something first. One speech he claims we're a superpower of energy, but when it comes to being a world leader on climate change, Harper will gladly take a back sit. In the 2007 speech Harper states climate change is a serious issue!!! There are many poster's on here that are always questioning climate change and are HUGE supporters of Harper. What do you have to say to that. I guess if Harper believes in climate change there is no doubt the the posters on Agriville who swear by Harper will NOW believe in climate change???????

When Mansbridge talks about the shooter in the parliament building in October he asks Harper if he was scared. Harper's answer was, he has had special training from the RCMP and was in a different head space than everybody else. Mansbridge than asks did you hide in a closet? Harper wouldn't comment. Wonder why Harper wouldn't answer that question when all Canadians already know he hid in a broom closet. Yet Harper claims he wasn't scared ??? With all the shooting going on and his fellow MP's left behind, wouldn't fear have entered the mind of Harper when he was in the broom closet?? That's amazing, or Harper's is just full of it.

From what I see in this interview is this Harper Conservative Government has basically accomplish nothing in the eight years they have been in power.

I;m just glad Mansbridge prove that in the interview with Harper.

For those of you who want to see the interview on TV, it's on CBC this early afternoon.

Forage farmer give your head a shake already. You can see that peter mansbridge can't stand the site of Harper. All he ever does is try and trip him up with a gotcha question. If we didn't have Harper in power our country would be in bad shape. Just look at the clowns running against him.

Yea wouldn't it be fun if Trudeau or Mulcair won. We would have to start learning Russian, Drinking Vodka, Ok that's ok and Farming with Belarus. I had a night mare once where these two clowns handed us all over at the first sign of trouble then saved their selves as the rest of us got wiped out.
Sad You don't negotiate with Terror.

What answers! Harper shows no compassion for the people left behind to fend for themselves against a gunman.

Better the devil you know? Oh Man, am I worried about the direction we are going. I felt like there was much more control with Chretien's government. The silence on banking issues is deffening.

I can't believe I am saying this but the conservatives have been there too long.

They have fallen for the same trap of allowing the bureaucrats run the show.

And forgot the grassroots support as radicals.

Harper is in a different head space all right...LOL He is complicit and compliant and so is his counterpart with real hair. Neither will be in the prime minister -`power` role when the shift is accepted and either compliance or complete removal will occur. Complete political upheaval is in the works. CBC will also be adjusted in a major way or gone. And we will all be much better off.

So whats wrong with referring to what he said a few years ago. Arent politicians accountable for what they say. Harper is the master of deflection. Like a surplus budget. First its going to be so much. Then revenues slide but oh yes we willhave a surplus, but not as much, when they most likely will not. Almost guaranteed. But wait theres an election this year. Why dont they try and win an election on an honesty campaign.

If you don't like bullshit don't ask a politician a question. I can remember some Dusies out of Pierres mouth. I agree though, Harper won't stray from the script. Gets old.
If you don't like broken campaign promises don't have a democracy. It's what gets done that matters.
I suppose the wealth distribution society represented by the libtards would get pipelines and railroads built in short order?? Only China succeeds in that.
The cbc would look a hell of a lot different if it got its revenue like pbs. Maybe Mansbridge should run for office??

Fortunately I don't need a doctorate to think openly and critically.
Happy New Year to everyone in LaLaLand.

                        stop saying stuff like that.

actually they need to get down to
2 grain co.s , so that the synergy
is created that results in savings.
that will be passed down to the farmer.

and last winter was just growing pains.
We need a little patience as our business partners , the multinational
grain co.s get consolidated enough to pass on the benefits.

and our govt. is wisely taking whats left of the CWB and giving to our multinational partners.
just to make sure it is dead.
not that we really have to worry .
thanks to Mr. Mulroney and compensation clauses in the free trade agreement.
no Canadian govt. ever would pay the compensation required for , lost and potential profits . to the grain .co.s to bring a board back.

thank you Mr Harper we have it made now

Completely agree blackpowder. Occasionally watch PBS and think how great it would be if CBC was the exact same. Sure wouldn't be seeing the massive paychecks that ones like Mansbridge is getting - what a waste of taxpayer money.

As far as Harper lying, if you can't understand the fact that he had to say those things in order to get a majority, then you are delusional. You do what you have to do to get into power. Go run for office and say what you really think and see how far you get. You pander to the ones who actually vote, to get in.

Captobvious. 85% of what value? Just like the cwb no actual numbers. All this talk to of transportation being better under the cwb. I can't believe how short some peoples memories are. The cwb answer to last year transportation issue would be to force farmers to carry over 60-70% of the crop. I remember doing that for 4 years straight. Had almost 3 full crops in the bin

Can't believe I got sucked into a cwb argument!
