<i>"No, vehemently opposed to the AB Government property rights land grab.
Was in favour of continuation of the CWB monopoly because the MAJORITY of producers repeatedly voted to keep it. I'm all for democracy."</i>

Lets vote to see who is in favour of selling all of Grassfarmer's property and divide the proceeds up amongst the posters on Agriville. I'm all for democracy too.

          Blackpowder

You yourself stated in a post above

"I agree though. Harper won't stray from the script. Gets old"

What happened did the Conservative trolls here on Agriville (15444, Oliver 88, Sk Wheatking , Tom, and of coarse Braveheart) report you to the PMO. Did the threat of having your Conservative card pulled get you all nervous??

Blackpowder in that small moment in time I thought you were starting to see what was really happening. But of coarse, every time you try to get out "They pull back in"

You are getting your communists and conservative labels mixed up again Farmranger - it's the AB communists who are set to do that most communist thing - take your land with no compensation and no right of appeal. You all support them because you think they are "right wing" and right wing always equals good. Just dumb ideology. I notice not one of you condemns these actions.

The CWB wasn't a communist organization it was a farmer director controlled system whereby the Government tried to help western grain farmers maximize their net farm returns through exerting the "marketing power" of working together and exerting some control over the railways, and grain companies and coordinating orderly shipping.

Ironically, I agree with you Grassfarmer on the point that the Ab "Conservatives" were doing some pretty communist things in the previous gov't. Hopefully that crap is over.

It's too bad you can't see the ideology gap when it concerns the property rights travesty we were fortunate enough to finally eradicate with the end of the single desk buyer.

                      Breadwinner
campaigning, what would be the point?
not like Sask or Alberta. are going to swing liberal or ndp. and most people
give little thought to anything political.
                      and talking to
100 or so farmers on here that would still vote Conservative no matter what.
                      kinda pointless

as for Russia , that's kinda where we are headed.
                      big money calling the shots,
at the expense of lot of other people.

your guys are doing this in your name.

and stuff that never was a Conservative policy.

the board is gone , no excuses anymore.
when your paying 20$/acre yr. forever to prevent Fusaraim .
you could have had it for 1/10 the cost , but you gave it away.

the list goes on and on
when public breeding ends and you end up with wheat seed costing like canola.
                      that's on your head too.
(and if Tom assures you it will never happen, well that pretty well guarantees it will.)

Who is granted supply management in this country? By this govt.
                      Chem co.s
                      seed co.s
                      railways
                      grain co.s
                      fert. co.s
                      where is the free market?

remember 2 price wheat,(higher domestic price)
                      can't have that too socialist.

but 2 price fert. that is okay.
pay more here where its made than at the ports.

where are the free market conservatives , please stand up.

Reading this forum is starting to seem like reading the letters to the editor in the WP. Same old whiners singing the same tune. Better get with the times or the times will pass you by. Farming has always been a a business of rolling with the punches, adjust or get run over. Good luck next year whiners.

                          Sawfly,

If wheat would increase in quality and quantity by 35 percent like the Canola I grow now... I would gladly pay the increased seed cost for the better produce our farm grows.

If new seed wheat does not produce productive margins that are better... we will grow the older varieties of wheat... simple.

There is no monopoly on seed... you can grow your own in 2015. There are plenty of alternate supplies of fertilizer... no monopoly on Fert. either.

Go back to older herbicides... they have never been cheaper.

Our only problem is our lack of initiative and imagination!!!

Have a great 2015! We are very fortunate grain growers!!!

                          Merry Christmas!!!!!

For the record. I do not belong to any federal political party. Never did. I was a member of the Whipped Rose until last week. Won't renew that one. The Seducer comment was apt.
I'm just not a joiner, in any way. Sorry. Guess I've got the freedom to call BS where I see it. Don't think a libertarian attitude fits into a Trudeau-Mulcair world any better than it does a Harper world. Least of three evils.
I haven't heard anyone support the _ _ _ yet that knew what they were talking about.
Someday I'd like to have a drink with you guys. But for tonight I'll have a drink anyway. Merry Christmas.
I get the kids for a week after Xmas so it's all good. Kinda miss WD9 on here but O well. If we disagree, screw you and here's to me! Cheers!
