Well, not sure what is happening to the rest of Agriville readers, but where I am from, the higher wheat gets in price, the lower my two local elevators offer. Asked the one if that price came with a big jar of vaseline.

Same thing here - they are trying desperately to flush guys out - funny thing is guys are still running to the line cpanies to get inputs ???
Vote with you $ , get your inputs from an independant and tell these bastards to earn you business back with realistic grain prices

Last winter they blamed the railways and F$&ked farmers with their ridiculous basis levels! Legal theift!
Who are they going to blame this year! Because with a .85 cent dollar we should be selling everything higher than we're getting!
But I like the one comment quit feeding the pricks with input dollars! Support the independents till they share some back to the people who actually grow the crop!

The trouble is you dumb asses aren't willing to sacrifice a few dollars to prove a point. You buy the most expensive seed to gain a bushell, you prepay your feet on credit to "save" $50/mt, you spray the most expensive chem because you are too stupid or lazy to figure out what you actually need. Imagine if you focused on profit instead of yield? Maybe you wouldn't be forced to sell wheat below the COP if you weren't worried about out bidding the neighbor for that shitty quarter of land.

ado, don't forget iron in yer figuring. Trips to Oahu, an SUV fer the little lady and your one kid. And don't forget the sleds, the side by sides, the boats.
And yes, the land. Bidding oneself out of profit is just so silly. All so your neighbor can't have the same chance to bid himself out of profit.
Get off the circle, folks.
Yes it is a tough and helpless occupation. Why do we tend to do everything in our power to make it more so?

Sounds like sour g****s on your behalf. Other farmers can spend THEIR money on what ever they want. It's none of your business.

I could care less what others spend money on. But the ones who do, and then complain, should just stop it already.
Sour g****s? If you had my hisory, you would have more than your share of sour g****s too. I don't chat much about that aspect of my life, I have tried hard to move past it. No, I do not feel like I have been dealt a "fair" hand. But to a great extent, I have come to terms with it...I try to keep my complaining limited to weather as best I can... If I could afford Hawaii, or new iron, I certainly would not be complaining. That is all I am saying.
1st world problems, huh?
