Also wonder what would happen if 85% of the farmers asked for all check off dollars back and then hired a real advocate because lately all our provincial organizations are becoming real useless, real useless.

I am with you on the line companies. Just pointing out there is little choice in some areas.

I have never been accosted by any one that I must deliver them grain if I use their services for inputs or vice versa, but I am not the kind of guy who is in daily or weekly chatter with them. They don't phone me begging me to buy seed etc., because I am too small possibly? I dunno.

I forgot. I refuse to deal with FCC. That probably limits me too....

For those worried about credit have you talked to your bank? When I started farming I found FCC the hardest to deal with, they gave me a pittance of a line a credit ($20/ac) with the company I worked for in senior management. That fall I went into my bank (RBC) and told them I didn't wan to do another dollar of business with FCC. She said sure we can help, now I have what is about $150/ac revolving line of credit tied to my checking account. I buy what I want, when I want, from who I want. F

Attaching/blackmailing input sales to deliveries happens...more so in the limited space/rail fiasco over last year. Whether its a local thing, a company culture thing, a political thing...dunno. What I do know is it is a repulsive and shameful action at any business level. They can do what they like...they got to live with themselves but I suspect they don't care. I have alternative markets to access, and have.
But if you've heard/know of this happening near you...what are "they" doing to you that you don't know if they are capable/allowed to get away with this blackmail?
I plan to take to higher level within the company...I can fight my own battles...just thought I'd add my two bits cause it was brought up...again.

Freewheat, I have my mortgage with them but it's far from paid for. I do have some really good paper equity in it though.

Question for all that rely on RR or patened seed , will you still be able to farm all those acres if you drop those chemicals???

Wouldn't doubt these guys have large rooms full of computer geeks running programs to calculate how much blood they can suck out of the host without killing it.
