Has anyone else noticed all the action plan...ads posted on televised NFL playoff games? How can anyone justify the 100s of millions spent on this useless type of propaganda. The feds are reducing money spent on public breeding of cereals...but they can waste taxpayer money on this crap!!"We must be fiscally responsible with taxpayer dollars".Good grief! How much research on new varieties can be done for the betterment of ag for these dollars? Pay for these ads out of conservative donations!

I think you've only started 10 conversations about this now.
You are likely referring to the apprentice ads to promote trades. The ad starts on a ship and seems quite well done to get the point across about trades being quality careers.
IMO, promoting trades should of been done more for the last 50 years so our country isn't full of people with geography and arts degrees working at useless jobs. More electricians, plumbers, carpenters will help our country.

Sorry for the enhanced amount. Jan. 25,2014 Globe and Mail sets 100 million plus dollars spent on Action Plan ads from 2009 to Jan 2014.The ads during NFL games are extremely ineffective at dispensing information.A total waste of money. We hear time and again there is no money for ag programs...but it appears we have money to burn on propaganda.

Some of those wonderful ads with the CPC colours are for programs that do not exist. Others were for programs with such a low inquiry rate that the advertising should have been labelled useless and future ad plans halted immediately. Yet the ads continue.
These are partisan Conservative ads at the public expense. If the Cons ever thought that the ads would not directly profit the party the business community would have been left to do its' own advertising.

The money that will get funneled to them through people as "private donations" but coming from corporates will pale in comparison compared to true private donations. Its votes they'll need not money at the end of the day.
Hardly the "people's party" from what I've seen since the majority. ....
