FJ, does this not make you crazy? You are old enough to have seen it all. I am just old enough to know how things were historically. I want to farm, but I do not like this side of things at all.

Part of it too, is with nicer weather upcoming, I was wanting to control my schedule. I like having control over my destiny. I detest having zero control. My luck, it would be -52 when they need my grain!

Just had a look at weber's latest email.

Prairies have space and so does the west coast.

The crushers in Yorkton are behind one due to a terrorist attack but at least are taking and the other seems to over book themselves and are always behind. Just finished Novembers so I'm sure Januarys will be March.

It just seems like we as farmers have gotten this, "whatever you grain buyers say", mentality.

And so, they have us by the nuts.

Whereas we used to have the control as farmers, they do now, more than ever. I actually wonder how much of this is even real, and how much of it is a set-up?

Dang, I do not want to be complaining and whining. I try to avoid it as best I can, but right now I am choked...

Canola Pricing, is it because it won't/can't go higher than $10 or they won't let it? Are the futures markets really working with all the producer contract options being presented and used?

Did you find a $10 spot price or willing to take what's offered at the "moment"?

Why is it when a farmer vents or shows frustration with a situation its called whining? What a stereotypical comment freewheat.
