Viterra/CPS carbon credits

Just got a form letter that CPS will no longer offer carbon credits. That's fine, they did a bad job of it IMO and I was looking to change. However, in the form letter they state they have given all our data, lease agreements, crop insurance info, etc to carbon credit solutions for that company to continue the service.

Can they just give away my info like that without giving me an option? Seems at least underhanded or maybe even illegal.

I've used carbon credit solutions. Be prepared to do most of the work and get a ton of phone calls

I would imagine they sold your account to them along with all your data. That way the new company doesn't have to earn your business they buy it.

Over$1 /ac for 4 hrs work. Ya, way too hard.
Doesn't surprise me CPS is spinning it off.
Hands off costs and liability. Gets them away from the NERP program.
Likely less net for us in future as aggregators need to spend more to comply. Just signed up to 16 with CPS I think.
Now where do we go? Frign Agrispend? Everyone keeps all your data. Everyone seems linked Stateside somehow. Just another enviro program with too many eggheads in the middle? Another reason to thank CPS for the cutthroat artists they are.
Their losing money on everything they bought around here. Thankfully independents filling void.
