It's not religion - it's politics! Turkey has a substantial Muslim population and Erdogan is trying to walk a tightrope. That's why they've had to stay out of the war with ISIS. Kind of like how Putin has to manipulate Russia, just different players. And the USA - black vs white. 17 people mindlessly executed in France and the Western world mourns. But at the same moment Boko Haram kills 2000 in an African town and hardly a peep. Could it be white vs black values? I truly hope not or we haven't progressed very far in 200 years. Probably a waste of time thinking about this stuff. If turkey was kicked out of NATO then we would lose the Black Sea which a real big deal. Then you have a massive arc of sco countrol with anything Shia. Germany is not exactly 100%with us. The Sunni would soon be forced to turn on us and then we would be in big trouble. North America,uk,japan,Australia,Israel,against the rest of the world.
