I deliver the occasional convertible b train truck to that are. Feed barley I can load 40 metric tonne in a convertible. I costs me twice as much as rail cars. Everybody knows rail is more efficent, but people realize they cannot let poor rail service destroy their business. So, they pay twice as much to get proper timely service.
I don't agree with the extra expense , but, I really like writing cheques to people instead of giving up a deduction to a rail company.
I have had a 72 year old grandpa lookng guy pull in, bring up the sides and cross braces on 2 trailers in 15 minutes. Whistling a pleasant tune the entire time.
I would have hurt my back, fallen off twice, smashed at least two fingers, and then be looking for a couch and TV.
People can be pretty awesome .
