Any nation at war with, and defeated by an Islamic country will either watch it's' people convert to Islam or die. Or they will continue to work and pay a tax for being allowed to live. Women are often taken as slaves and sex slaves. Islam fosters a society of inequality of religion and an intolerance of gender equality .

Christian religions have traditionally fostered
and encouraged peaceful co-existence between French, aboriginals, and English. which is probably why the concept of "multiculturalism"was so easily accepted as a desirable lifestyle. It is not only naive to believe we can co-exist with Islam, but it a a false premise to assume Islam can exist in the "live and let live" world as we have traditionally viewed it. Other religions cannot co-exist with Islam's conquesting 'convert of die' goals in the 21st century.

And make bloody sure you grasp the concept that women of the 21st century cannot and will not co-exist with Islamic ideology. pars

True Muslims, Charliep must follow the Quran. And obey sharia Law where it is in effect. Muslim men sit as judges when anyone is charged under Sharia Law.

Women continue to be viewed as a non-equal. As property of Muslim men. In mosques. In society. In homes. In law.

Have you asked why? Muslim men I know do not want to touch that topic with a ten foot pole. Not only does questioning insult the prophet , but most Islamic men agree with the gender law.

Canada has been a very peaceful nation. French , English and aboriginals have lived side by side without riots and killings and skirmishes such as those that rocked Ireland.

All of us have lived peaceably beside our neighbours because we choose to do so.

But there is a sense of uneasiness in our land today and it is because of the Islamists who have immigrated to Canada, and the honour killings and terrorist strikes begin

I don't think the Multicultural Act would get a second reading in Canada in 2015. Do you, brave?

Aboriginals indeed had terrible times in residential schools, but they also know that in 2015 that they can choose to worship or to not worship. In their religion of their choice. Or no religion. No woman, including aboriginals, or French or Scottish, well, no women, should be legally viewed as property by any religion; after all, we do have the Rule of Law in Canada to punish it. Pars

Mark Steyn's comments, re the Charlie Hebdo slaughter, are very clear:

Not all muslim states or people practice Sharia law or its more conservative form of wahhabism.

Not so sure what the comment on participating in Western pluralism means. Most of the islamic is outside the developed world with a completely different set of experiences and values than we have. They do have access and know how to use the full array of western/developed world technology including social media.
