An interesting day in the 70 th anniversary of the liberation of the Aushwitz. How many jewish people did Canada deny entry prior to the second world war? Because? Why did we have Japanese interment camps in BC? Residential schools?

I live and work in a multi cultural world. I enjoy the diversity. My fears for safety are not visible minorities but rather gangs that live as a part of our society - home grown.

If you get the chance, watch a movie "The Moral Storm" with James Stewart, from about 1940. An excellent story of how evil can take over, and it surely did in Europe in that era.

Swedish women work in an exceptionally diverse country now, filled immigrants that they too thought they would like. However, Sweden has become the #2 **** Capital of the world, a phenomena.

When Muslim men **** Swedish women, or any woman who is an infidel (a non-believer), it is not considered a crime either legally or morally, according to Islam. **** is an accepted, promoted, world-wide, increasing act of Islamic violence intended to humiliate infidels, and to force women to convert to Islam.

Islam is the fastest growing religion in Canada and an estimated 1.25 million in Canada and increases by approximately 60,000 immigrants per year.
The largest mosque in North America is in Calgary.

Islam is not a visible minority. Every skin.color in society, and every language in society, world-wide, has represention in Islam, all of them praying to Allah. BUT, and this is the point I made at the beginning of this thread, Islam is also governed by the socio-political-ideology called Sharia Law, which is the legislative arm of Islam not reconcilable with Western culture.


Until Sharia Law is revamped, has a tune-up, or is legally revised, or rebuilt, immigration requests from the hot-spots of Islam must be denied.

parsley. that i am sorry to say will never happen. they are using the same laws that we ceated to better life here in north america for all who come here to have a better life against us. quite a conundrum isnt it. trying to call islam what it is cost ezra lavant what? eighty grand is his loss of a defamation law suit launched by khurrum awan for an article in mcleans magazine depicting the results of islam in society. because of freedom of religion it seems they can trumph freedom of speech.

Canada supposedly chooses immigrants, whom we want to allow entry, from the list of applicants who want to enter.

But citizens have been very passive about contacting their MP's about who we NEED as new Canadians. As well as who we PREFER.

Do we want English speaking employees? Do we want immigrants from G8 countries? G20? Commonwealth counties? Third world? Islamist countries? Mandarin-speaking? Northern countries? North American?

Who do we WANT?

At one time, rich immigrants simply put cash on the table if they wanted to jump the que. And they did. Remember?

Should we court people who suit our way of life, or merely those we feel sorry for? Sound or disabled? Professional or blue collar? Men or women? Youth or middle-aged? Bi-polar needing meds or sound and healthy? Skilled or unskilled?

Cndn political parties often court votes by holding out immigration-candy; a tactically successful on cultural groups.

Many countries know exactly who they want.

Saudi Arabia won't accept any refugees. NZ doesn't want immigrants. China won't allow some ethnics. Switzerland wallows in neutrality. And I'd swear Canada chooses new Canadians by pulling names from a hat in the prisons of the world.

Canada gets what we don't ask for. How many Canadians have asked for militant imams from Pakistan? Convicted terrorists from Syria.

I've been lax as hell when it comes to immigration. But I do know this,.. 10K letters from Mr, RegularJoes like you and I, piled up on the Immigration Ministers desk, would definitely influence selection-decisions. imho

Tending our country's safety is particularly important during this time of unrest.

Switch to second gear and do your civic duty: be involved. Pars

excellent points parsley. however we fell asleep at the gate. the trojan horse was let in. our multicultural policies so well intended but unfortunatley misguided will be our achilles heel. do we have it in us as a country to sacrifice what it will take.

I think you underestimate parents and grandparents and families. We will do it for our children and grandchildren and our families.

Question most people should ask themselves. How far do you allow someone to push you before you take a stand and push back.

How many values, morals, beliefs and customs do you have to forfeit in the name of politically correctness or for fear of offending "MINORITIES".

I am of European descent, there are lingering customs, but I am a Canadian first. Are we going
to unravel the fabric of what is means to be Canadian for every special interest group that comes along?

Ask yourselves, how "accommodating" would some other cultures and countries be if we placed the same demands on them that are being placed on us?

Some basic principles between cultures have trouble existing together let alone beside each other.

The world supplies some good natural barriers, use them.
