It sounds like you're suggesting someone is contradicting themselves saying "graincos were not making excess profit because farmers were not selling" while also saying "farmers have kept selling".
And it feels like you're pointing at me.
If so - don't take what I say out of context.
People like Richard Gray said graincos were gouging and pointed to the widest export spread all year to calculate it. Problem was, little was being bought at those prices - some graincos had "no bid".
The reason prices got so bad was indeed because farmers kept selling - or offering.
So, even though you're trying to make the case that you can't have both situations, you definitely can.
