Always have said that bumper crops are a recipe for disaster.

But most will still hold to hoping for consecutive bumper crops.

If you understand the politics of Argentina including export taxes/levies, I don't think you say the Argentina government has ever done farmers down there favors. If you look at the numbers, Argentina farmers have been building grain inventory as a hedge against inflation/currency risk.

You can get mad the domestic situation but the world market will always move on its own with limited influence from Canada.

Below is the March MGEX wheat chart. Futures have dropped over a buck a bushel US - somewhat related to the skyrocketing US buck. Someone who had sold MGEX mid December would have a combined cash and futures profit of close to $7.50/bu. There is still money to be made by paying attention and making good business decisions. These things are in your control.
