We had two sides; CWB that would not change; another side that wanted the CWB gone: just gone. We should not blame Ritz we got what we asked for.

Indeed, now the issue is now access, diversity and market access. Market access is via rail as trucking is not a long term viable option.

And so I ask again, how many of you even sent a note to Murad regarding the CTA review, even to say we need you to insure access and diversity as indeed competition begins with access and access begins with rail. I would challenge each of you to press the keys on a letter where it may matter.

As for Ritz, well the CWB is still in suspense. Largely to his initiative the CTA review is very public. The jury is out on both, but indeed if this country finally acknowledges that rail is key to trade and insists on service levels that enable diversity this will be the only legacy that Ritz needs to have as it will be GREAT.

We now have the CERES terminal at Northgate. Yes we need better access to the USA, again the CTA.

We may need better port access too..all in time.

It does take time. In the meantime our farm makes money on wheat over 7.00$, we prefer 8$. What is your target?

We have some at 7 but when your in the flood zone you never know what you can offer. If it does like last year you loose 2000 to 3000 acres. Then are buying out contracts. Its a different world.
We have been blessed with unreal wet, but like Charlie leaving things change and this winter one weather patern is nice the low snow accumulation. Ah maybe were back to normal.
Now 8 makes money but honestly with all that's going on in the world do you really think we will see 8 again for years. So maybe getting use to 3.75 or 4 is normal.
But were talking unreal basis in Canada and no reflection of a dollar.
Like I showed Deere tells us our tractor if we want it is another 120000 do to the dollar.
So why isn't the dollar reflected in Basis. 5 should be 7 any day of the week.
Ah follow the money if the Farmer is broke with all the inputs they are forced to sell so if I owned a grain company I would crush the feed source till they were just about broke and keep them their. Cheap product till eternity.
Ah farming its happening that way and some cant see.
Good luck, Weather changes and maybe a few will see what shitty weather does to farms.
But one thing is for sure. USA farmers are first then its trickle down. Here were dead last.
