I'm with rockpile. Sf3 works smart and deserves what he has earned. I feel he speaks from knowledge and foresight. IMO there are to many narrow minded, short sighted, don't give a shit, look after myself type of producers on here that only complain about others and don't want to admit that there is a huge problem in agriculture. These type usually don't want to take part in discussions and help solve these issues. I've been involved with organizations in the past and feel I have done my time and it is up to the younger producers to take over. Get involved with WCWG, NFU etc and try to fix these issues. If you don't the grain companies, railroads, pollititions , chem and fert companies will break us all.

I don't think he is really saying anything that isn't true but it would be good to balance his posts with some positive material.

Richie bros sales will have some great deals this spring as long as the Americans internet acess is shut down!
Hey just calling it like it is. One thing I do know if 2015 is ugly next winter I'll be staying home in dear old Saskatchewan!
I like the post about getting out and joining boards. I agree sitting back and doing nothing hasn't worked.

Ducks taste great, whether they're in a row or not.

We better all duck in Saskatchewan. Huge expenditures on Carbon capture, football stadiums, 7.5% raise to teachers and so on and on with low Ag and oil revenues could be ugly, but wow Sask Trends Monitor says no recession in sight. That's great!

I'm more bullish than this time last year. I can actually pencil in some positive margins. I'm not too concerned about the sales at Ritchie Bros, my yard is full of functional equipment. And I will definitely be getting away next winter, I don't care how ugly farming gets.

sumdum, i am more worried about the 18 year old farm worker(from a previous post) starting with one of the railroads for $70k a year and up to $140k/ yr in four years ,than the people who are teaching our kids or grandkids. most teachers i know, spent 4-6 years in university, start out under $50k/yr, and haven't had a raise for years .that kid is getting $70k /yr right out of high school , something wrong with that picture??? people are forgetting whats important. not arguing with your point, just saying
