And its only mid feb. We often get a lot of snow from here on yet. Cat tail sloughs extremely full so runoff could run late Or be very full If got them.Might have to learn how to eat more cat tail. Parsley got any recipes? The ex was doing a pretty good job cooking it. With chicken and lots garlic. Kids eat it like candy.

On a positive note it's only snow. One freaky winter storm were Saskatchewan we get them. Quick melt were still ok. Weather patern hasn't changed yet? That's the key!

Willy isnt delusional this time. Not all of us farm in your region Sask. Still drive across field with good 4x4 here.
To me snow just tells me it can. Meaning water can come.
I feel for u Sask, but not as much as Im gonna feel if we dont get rain in June here.

6 inches is to much snow for the entire winter in our area. Way to wet. Please can we have a drought. At least drought doesn't ruin the land.

No its a fallacy actually. Globally drought causes huge damage to soils (primarily desertification) excess moisture causes very little.

Even though we haven't suffered the "too wet" effect to the same extent that some of you have, I'd settle for a drier than normal year too. What ever normal is these days...

                      Less fungicides
                      less time in the sprayer
                      more leisure time
                      more money for me
probably fewer bushels but hopefully quality bushels and hopefully get paid as much as I would if I had to handle a third more bushels.

Kinda the model everyone else runs under.

Ok, severe drought isn't good either. But anyone that says excess moisture doesn't ruin land has obviously never experienced it!!
