Saskfarmer3's way? I've been trying to tell you guys that for a while.
I find the whole conversation amusing actually. For all the whining and handwringing that goes on over things you have little chance of controlling guys owning thousands of acres of land don't understand the basics of soil biology and the water cycle. If they did they wouldn't be spraying the $%#& out of everything apart from the monoculture crop that they want to grow for 110-120 days a year or using anhydrous ammonia to turn the land to concrete so the water can't be absorbed.
The big claims about farming in the toughest environment in the world is a joke. You want to go pick up a hoe and a handful of seed for a season in sub-Saharan Africa and tell me how that works out for you?
Bigger irony is that the ones complaining about too much water here don't realize they are sitting on the most precious resource for mankind going forward. It'll be worth more than oil before we know where we are.
