Not topic related but some of the most powerful museums that have had the most impact on me have been those about mans's atrocities against their neighbours.

Museums about the Dirty War in Argentina.

The museums in Vietnam about that war starting the the French.

The museums about Jewish extermination in Poland and Germany.

    Killing fields in Cambodia.

Museums in Kiev about the starvation in the 1930's.

Irish museums about the potato famine.

Residential schools in Canada. The Japanese internment camps in BC.

Man's cruelty against man is not new. Not all is religious based.

I have printed the article. I suspect you have interpretation but initial reading would say that it may or may reflect what the authors said. Your interpretation of their words.

",,, is that Islamists, Jews and Christians all worship the same biblical God."

Those who understand the named religions would disagree.

Neither Jews or Muslims recognize the Trinity, Jesus as Son of God, or the resurrection.

My end game is to discuss ISIS. They are a threat to our way of life. They are a threat to women. Surely we can agree ISIS is a threat, Charliep. And if they are a threat what can we do about it? We have ISIS jihadists living in Canada.

Isn't it prudent to understand who they are and what they believe in and what they say their goals are? Charliep, please tell me you are not a fan of ISIS! Parsley

Islamists have already tried to introduce Sharia Law into Ontario in 2004-05. Ontario denied them. Quebec passed a law to ban Sharia Law in their province. Parsley

That is how I understand it, too burnt. I decided I didn't want to start arguing about the difference in religions, though, which is why I left it unchallenged, and concentrated on ISIS. If there is anything we don't need in Canada, it's Sharia Law getting rooted in some province. Or territory. Pars

Not a fan of ISIS. As a part of a city, likely more at risk than you of impact.

Perhaps what I challenging you is your assertion than every Muslim in Canada is a potential terrorist.

The article is about ISIS and their very specific interpretation of the Koran.

So Parsley, there is no end game, at least not one you'll admit to. Sharia Law being recognized in a Province or Territory - get real! After listening to you for years and years 3 things are apparent - 1.You need an enemy and a cause, the CWB being the most famous. 2. After the CWB it was Obama (the Kenyan). 3. Muslims and ISIS became a convenient lightning rod just recently. Secondly, you ramble on endlessly never reaching a conclusion but when Charlie challenges you with a simple question, you deflect and avoid. Thirdly, you love to play the role of 'victim', don't you?
So again, what is your endgame? Fess up. We're waiting. I think you would really make a good politician, especially in the Harper Government.
No one disagrees that ISIS and radicalism aren't threats. But most would like to seek solutions, limiting loss of life and hurt. And certainly we don't need to inflict revenge on the innocent just because they might look or sound like the guilty. So, fess up!
