I'm not advocating anything. I don't have one single clue on how to solve terrorism. But I do know we have a problem.

rk refers to the downfall of the banking system. Also refers to a Russian solve. Will that end ISIS? I don't think so.

I'll repeat this again: We cannot fix the problem unless we fully understand the problem I really had no idea of the ingrained beliefs of ISIS until reading about them. Formal papers.

But the violence isn't going away ; it's accelerating. that's what I see. And the ideology keeps spreading.

For heaven's sakes , don't put words in my mouth, Rocky. I would hope that know better than that. Parsley

Rocky, I take it you don't want the spread of the moral code that the deeply religious ISIS teach and live by. Their doctrine isn't morally acceptable in the West, but it is their faith.

How does one defeat a faith.I see that as a heavy problem. Pars

That's all you can come up with? Asking me if I could see ISIS coming is nothing more than a deflection on your part. Sounds like PMO speaking points.

ISIS started way before 2014 in Iraq, they are made up of Sunnis which Saddam Hussin just happened to be. They were the biggest part of the Iraqi insurgency who were fighting the USA army. Parsley, did you honestly think that when Bush and Cheney went into Iraq looking for WMDs and taking out Hussin (which Harper fully supported as opposition leader) there won't be repercussions. They left Iraq in complete turmoil. The Iraq army was a joke and just surrendered to ISIS.

Maybe if CSIS RCMP, and DND could have used their full budgets of the last seven years they may have been better prepared. ISIS just didn't start over night.

          Haven't all three departments done a fairly good job? Borders are not porous like in the USA! I guess I would like to see all the Parliamentary guards armed with guns; immigration revamped; more bad guys who come to Canada to work sent back home;

Tracking ppl with virulent terrorist tendencies was a small list a few years ago. Now it's grown huge. Overnight, Jihad has become a phenomena is what I see

Sharing information with other nations' agencies has improved.

Islam itself requires jihad. Would educating all three departments to better understand who performs jihad and honour killings prevent death? Or is it better for Canadians to choose different countries of origin for immigrants that don't commit jihad and honour killings as a matter of faith?

Here again. I don't know forage. All countries throughout the world are struggling with jihadist killers. And I'm really glad to be living in Canada. At least our government recognizes who the terrorists are. Obama sure doesn't. Pars

I'll also add, forage that even during the Olympics, Russia was fighting Chechnys. Australia is fighting jihadists. China has had outbreak after outbreak of jihadists. Malmo, Sweden has become the #2 **** Capital of the world, with Muslim immigrants doing the raping. Can't blame these acts on George Bush. Or PMSH. Or a Peruvian. pars

pretty sure it was the house of saud, our "buds",who set these ****ers up,look them up on live leaks shooting the tow missile systems(modern weapon technologies take time to understand, but its worth it when understanding geo-politics)

They are a blowback from our horrible overseas policies, the wahabi lunatics are definatley funded by the sauds.

A proper thinking libertarian government(not liberal)would have never imported any of these people, nor sent troops over to try and fix "things",we would have quietly said don't bother us or we will cut your damn head off.

Unlike ancient Greeks or Romans, or Hindus, Buddhists, Taoists or even all the global aboriginal spiritualists et al, the irony that's lost,,,, is that Islamists, Jews and Christians all worship the same biblical God.

"Their doctrine isn't morally acceptable in the West, but it is their faith. "

Ag chat, this means, that Joe cannot go to downtown Toronto and legally kill a guy of another faith. And no Christian church will give him moral permission, either. It's considered a moral sin.

In contrast, an ISIS jihadist has a moral duty to kill an apostate or infidel in the name of Islam, and their Sharia Laws considers it legal. It is their faith. it is what they believe in.

Canadians consider that ISIS killing a person is both illegal AND immoral. Nothing scary about that.

A stark difference in religions, both legally and morally.

                      How do we co-exist? Pars

Jihad - a crusade for a principle or "belief". Are you a Jihadist pars?

Koran and Bible portray God as omniscient (all-knowing), omnipotent (all-powerful), omni-benevolent (all-good). Both recognize only one God. Both portray God as the self‑existent sovereign Creator of heaven and earth. Both exalt God as merciful. Both proclaim that God will someday judge the world. Both emphasize the oneness of God. Both affirm that God has sent prophets and has given sacred scriptures. Both unfold a paradox of divine transcendence and divine immanence.

That is --- if you "believe" in either of these man made books. If you believe that God is simply the good in everyone and everything and that mankind learns everything he/she "believes", then we have the ability to teach love to everyone over time. Even the Jihadists.

                        What do you "believe" pars?

if we all take the time to resarch and learn who and what alla really is it might help. you have to explore further back than the 7th century. alla was one of more than 300 pagan gods worshipped by the decendants of ishmael. mohammed aligned belief in alla with the true god through his rantings that were used as a means to justify agression, expansion of territory and self gain.

Canadians don't legally or morally subscribe to punishing non-believers or gays with death, and I'm a regular Canadian.

Most Canadian generally viewed multiculturalism as a benign 'live and let live' way of life. Ten years ago, most people in Canada wouldn't even think about being killed for being a Presbyterian or an atheist or a Buddhist. But there are definitely religious people who view us as infidels. I want to do more 'back there when' research, too, binthere, but was more interested in reading about the current laws of punishment, and the dynamics of the current power-struggle between the different sects of Islam, and trying to understand the intensity of the fanaticism. In 2015. pars.
