So the fact of the matter 174 billion is than justifiable in your opinion. I'm full bull and not creditable, listen to you! Like I said you wouldn't know a conservative if one slap you in the face.

I have voted conservative but Harper is NO Conservative he's a Reformer who hyjacked the conservative party.

Forage, you were wrong, and it is hard to take isn't it? Now, I hate the extra debt, and so does Mr. Harper. But why and who pushed for the huge deficit in the first place that got the ball rolling?

The commies and the separatists. Do you not remember the political dynamic at that time? A weak con minority, with Layton and Dionne and Duceppe calling the shots. It was either deficit finance these losers, or have them actually run the country, with Layton as finance minister, and Duceppe as who knows what.

So forage, do you also miss Mulroney? Was he a real conservative?

What this country needs is MORE REFORM, and less red tory. Harper is limited from pushing a reform agenda, because, well, this is Canada after all. There are too many entitlists in the east.

And sadly, it seems there are many who feel Harper owes them a living on this thread. Most homes have a mirror. Try looking in it.

Most auto workers feel they are owed a job. In 2008 the government felt obliged to keep a few 100 thousand jobs from disappearing. And they are not weather related.

              Funny how that works out?

Yup, it sucks. But I owe myself a living. No one else owes me diddly. There are a million ways to use land, to make a living. If one way is not working, try another. I am in the middle of that right now on my farm, because it is up to ME, not government to ensure I make a buck. As someone said, since 1885, we have been at the railways mercy. That it is about to change, is folly.

I detest preferential treatment, and I detest entitled, propped up occupations...

Imagine what the commies would have done? They would have given them ten times the money the cons did.

Seed cleaning plant owner. Sheep farmer. Hay farmer. Many kinds of farmers.

                    Hundreds of unpropped occupations.

And who built the road to the cleaning plant and maintains it. Oops infrastructure of any sort isn't private.

It's all publicly funded or propped up as you say.
