SDG There is no question that UPOV 91 gives farmers the "privilege" of saving seed for own use.

But it also "allows" for breeders to charge an end point royalty on all production from the growing of farm saved seed. And such a royalty is already being charged to farmers in Uruguay and Australia, countries which have signed on to UPOV 91.

And while Tom is right on saving seed, there is a huge question mark about whether it will actually be free.

It is the possibility of end point royalties that concerns me.

My view is, once I've paid for the seed, royalties in, that seed, and it's production is MINE. My property to with as I wish.
