At present time the USA has enough production of it's own oil that it could start exporting if it were not against a ban (law) put in place in the 1970s.

Since the USA has enough oil of their own does Keystone really matter to the USA? Yes there would be temporary jobs added for building Keystone, but there would even more jobs added if they decided to start exporting their own oil.

More drilling and refining of their own would create even more USA jobs.

Give credit to Obama, at least brought in Universal Health care for his middle class. Something we Canadians take for granted.

Besides I doubt he could care less what a few Agrivillers think of him. Obama
figures they could maybe offer Harper some of their expert advice!!

The USA imports 5 million barrels of oil per day, about half is currently from Canada.
This means they buy approximately 2.5 million barrels per day from countries ran by dictators which many of these countries sponsor Islamic terrorism.
Eastern Canada buys a certain % of oil from Islamic terror funding countries as well.
