It's pretty sad when lots of gullible mothers would prefer to take advice from Miley Cyrus or Jenny McCarthy vs doctors.
We now have schools in LA where 20% of the kids are unvaccinated and kids who don't eat wheat because Miley Cyrus and Gwyneth Paltrow say so.
Dr. Davis is clearly in this for the money by saying gluten has killed more people than all wars and that gluten causes breast cancer!!!!!!
He is also spreading false information by calling wheat GMO and "Frankenwheat".

LOL - very interesting show and thread. Love how there are "brain dead" people on both sides oneoff....

Best line in this show was "The truth is not easy to sell". I think people will buy anything that they "believe" to be truth. Believing is the key. Science is battling for survival in a world that is becoming more aware of the effects of belief. How the hell did wheat make it to the place it was at without belief?

As always, trust yourself and once again proof positive that making something a war will never work. This Wheat Belly king just got a hell of a lot more free advertising out of CBC and I doubt like hell that people will go out and eat a second loaf of bread this week just to prove him wrong.... LOL

Should there be a massive lawsuit against this guy on behalf of farmers, if he is proven wrong? He has done massive damage to the value of our wheat crop and it will get worse. Most of his claims are basses on no hard evidence what so ever - one 35 year old study done on mice ????? Do we need to fight back , can any / all of his claims be proven wrong ? If he is not wrong we are fuked - cause it will carry on to whatever we grow.
When people cut out wheat in their diet and they spring back from the dead - is it actually the wheat that caused the issue or additives from the processors that are the issue ?
Most people that cut wheat from their diet also cut , IMO , the biggest health hazard on earth - sugar, and add exercise .
So wich one is causing health issues to elevate ???

Virtually every crop grown on earth has been crossbreed - so there all now considered GMO??
Even the wine they were drinking in that video came from g**** vines that have been crossbred at on time - so GMO wine ?? Those avocado's ??

Is there a difference between wheat sprayed with desicants and "clean" wheat as far as the disaster he promotes with eating wheat ? Is that the link that has caused all these issue science the 70's when desicants were first used and not the wheat itself as he claims ?
Just would like to see some hard evidence either way - the evidence he promotes could be , already is , irreversibly damaging to wheat production all over.

I dont think it is or grains that are the problem, maybe it is all the additives that is added later. Look at store bought bread and home made bread side by side on the cupboard one will mold in a couple of days and one will last for weeks Hmmm. there is a good write up in yesterdays Globe & Mail about additives linked to bowel diseases but it is on the last page. Why are these write ups always on the last page?

Mr. Kaiser said "Science is battling for survival in a world that is becoming more aware of the effects of belief." !!!

                Yes, indeed it is.

And perhaps this is due to the fact that the very-fallible mantra that science is "to be conducted free from bias".

Impossible... All one can hope for is that experimentation is conducted by someone who is aware of his/her bias and evaluated accordingly.

The safeguard of "peer review" has lost its credibility with scandals like the Climategate meltdown/subterfuge or AGW data-fixing undermining that support(Michael Mann's hockey stick! He could make a great warped stick that might benefit the Leafs LOL)).

The public is becoming more aware that the best science can be affected by the strongest lobby or deepest purse, so who's to blame for the erosion of "belief" in the scientific process?

Therefore, in the absence of sound reason, any belief can prosper and grow even if it's more of a cancer than a healthy augmentation.

So we are going to have to develop a bit more sensitivity about attacking "religion", which is merely a systematized form of belief...LOL!

(BTW, I'll stick to mine since it has been around for quite a while, with good effect.)

Debate is good, more information is better. Along the same lines is "Grain Brain" by Dr. David Perlmutter, a neurologist. Well written, research quoted, 16 pages of acknowledgements. He also exposes in great detail gluten/carbs/sugar effects on our brain. The possible connections to chronic diseases. His focus is inflammation, however minor, is happening to all of us. We all respond differently to triggers. Google if you wish. Eat how you believe applies again. Yes and if these allegations are true, I am certainly disappointed we grow stuff that is proven unhealthy. Same with processing that ruins nutritive value of the raw food.
This is what we get from a "connected society", and ability to QUESTION popular long standing beliefs. Go for it!

I agree on the sugar or more specifically fructose, glucose doesn't need to go to the liver fructose does.Alcholics and sugarholics livers look identical.

Watch all these doe head parents feeding their super sized kids fruit juice or pop, jesus.

Another PBS topic, on sugar, suggested that corn fed anything was bad, including all such meat. On top of that high fructose corn syrup, which they are renaming in an effort to deflect, is used in nearly all processing. CORN could be the worst crop on earth for our health! Interesting...

Ah yes - CORN - and Fructose corn syrup - and what they have done to it down yonder... There is a lot bigger issue than wheat methinks.
