Good grief cant we just go on a hunger strike. He is thinking outside lucy's box right. At least we can still work. Maybe end up in the hospital. Wtf.
This is about making a statement over and above anything done in the past. Bucket et all dont argue so much. Its not going anywhere. We can be a loose group with many demands. We may even lose our corporate status with the wheat belly assholes. Or the what ever. We could have numbers. Many demands. See what comes of it.
    Are we chicken shit????

Tom, i sent i nice long email to my MP Candice Bergen, told her there nothing wrong with rail service herein S.MB, told her grain is flowing well, i cc'd minister Ritz.

I guess, i should of told her my grain goes to ND and MN by truck. Simple ommision. But at least now she has evidence that not all farmers agree with you and your clailms of poor rr service.

        Cheers

          Bucket,

The Rail Service review was promised at that March 2014 meeting, there was general understanding that previous CTA revisions did not provide relief for unreliable railroad service in the western Canadian grain system.

From indications I have seen... the grain service recommendations have been submitted. I believe Pulse Canada will be issuing another information release this week.

I am spending the beginning of next week with Pulse Canada CEO Gord Bacon, and he is updating our Alberta Pulse people then.

Our people have spent many hours in consultations with the Shippers Alliance.

Tom the European model you suggested that Mr. Bacon pointed out sounds like a better alternative.

I think our military could have a responsibility to keep up our railway beds and also the maintenance of the hopper cars.
This is a service that benefits the entire country and effects our GDP greatly.

In the USA the Mississippi River shipping is HEAVILY subsidized and the army corps are involved. This doesn't count as an Ag subsidy.....

It shouldn't be a surprise we all end up at the same base point. Now... we need to capture the deliverables... It will be interesting where Hunter takes this on BNN!!!

Tom, i want no part in govt regulation in the rr's. Their stock prices have done well in the lasr few years, hope they go to the moon. Got to go, need to place some more buy orders.

                      MBGrower,

If the CN/CP Alliance can operate each others trains... on each others tracks as since 2006 is done through the Frazer River tracks directionally, Some of the most difficult railroading in the world... Obviously this can be expanded to other areas and trains.

                      Background:
"According to the 2007 Canadian Trackside Guide, all eastbound traffic (including the Canadian) runs on the CP from Mission [east of Vancouver] to Basque [west of Ashcroft], and all westbound traffic runs on the CN between these two points. This information is found on the page under the CP's Cascade Sub (Canadian Pacific Alberta Service Area). The same information is found under the CN's Yale Sub (CN Western Canada Region)--"Directional running with CP sees traffic moving eastbound on the CP from Mission to Basque on the Thompson Subdivision, with westbound traffic normally on CN's Ashcroft and Yale subdivisions."

This went into effect in 2006.

There is also a joint operation in Ontario, between Boyne (CN)/Reynolds (CP) and St. Cloud/Wanup, with northbound traffic on the CP and southbound traffic on the CN. The Canadian also uses this stretch. This information is also found in the 2007 Canadian Trackside Guide."
