Top down democracy, they represent the Gov plans/laws TO US. Ass backward, should be called parliament members NOT MPs.
Agree SK3 "It's a stuck record but why any young person would ever want to farm is beyond me!
Farming more than ever is going down the proverbial tube!"

Same for my 45 years, nothing changes...

Couldn't run his ag service side! We would need a mill meaning asking for a lot of our checkoff dollars going to fund this idea! It's all about the money! But yes the way it's going now is useless!
Groups do nothing but try to get their one point done!
Sad the more things change the more they stay the same!

If Justin can't win Quebec he has a problem! Maybe Ottawa knows that and doesn't want to shake the boat!
But if lots out west stay home or just dong care could some seats change!
I'm curious, but also lots are at their expired date and this next one means nothing they see the promise land!
But definitely need a change in advocacy in Ottawa!

Weber could double his subscription fees and take a good portion of the check off dollars.

It would be money well spent.

The rest can't fall into place until farmers get the transportation and grainco files straightened out.

If mulcair gets a minority that would put the old conservatives out to pasture where they belong and get a new team of ankle biters to keep the west's interests front and center.

These bastards just keep taking our vote for granted.

In case you folks had not noticed:

Many new faces have been nominated as the new MP seats redrew our constituencies. I am not sure if SK or MB has changed significantly... Alberta has.

                FYI

Grain companies should be mandated to pay storage to farmers on late contracts. Cp,Can should be mandated to pay the demurrage on late delivery to port. That would change things. The gov,t needs to bolt on a pair and get this done.

Mulcair has a snowball's chance in hell of forming a minority. It was the orange crush that got the NDP the number of seats that they did. Mulcair won't repeat that performance.

The Libs will improve their showing. As will the Green Party.

If the Lib/NDP parties formed a coalition they could likely form government, but they have specifically stated they won't consider that. Doubt Trudeau and Mulcair could work together on the same side.

But they do say politics makes strange bedfellows.

Libs, NDP and Greens better all get together like Cons and Reform did. Then we can have a copy of the US 2 party system of right or left. Then just keep switching the parties hoping for a change/improvement endlessly only to be forever disappointed. What a god dam insane "party" system.

93 or 94 seats in western Canada, out of 308, 94 if NWT included. Enough to provide someone with a majority if they agree to cooperate. Wups, new electoral districts in effect next election, 15 more Ontario, 6 each Alberta and BC and 3more Quebec, total now 338. 94 plus 12 = 106 in western Canada total 338, 31.3%. Ontario will have 121.
West could be the balance of power, but need to stick together.

What really is the benefit of new political faces especially mps that all only want to survive long enough for the ridiculous pensions. Just to sit there and put there hand up when party leaders tell them to. If the new ones are ou going to follow and not have a brain we may as well make a rule you get no pension until after 5 terms. Let the idiots sit there and wear out their arms. But then they d likely hi on disability. Lol

I heard that in the cost cutting they will legislate out politicians pension. Maybe then they will stay focussed on the job they were elected to do.
