    Agchat,

AS I SAID: "I was NOT planning on using mine!" (MY TRACTOR)

I have no clue what kind of tractor you have... or even where you farm!

So you were wrong on both counts... but I clearly wanted CN/CP and CICIS to know there was not... and is not... any plan of any kind. This is my seeding tractor not for blockades.

A couple of the proposed amendments would be, not having to send in proof of sale. One more would be that you would not have to sell your grain by a certain date, just to meet the deadline to pay back your advance without going into default, if certain conditions come into effect....eg. Railroads on strike, and you cant move your grain, or other strikes, or even in some cases commodities fall to low, and you would take a shit kicking selling just to meet your deadline to repay advance. Not sure what total conditions have to be met, but Im sure an inspection of your reported bushels would be a possibility

Hartley Richardson wouldn't say diddly. It would be Curt Vossen for JRI.

But just saying something won't cut it. A commercial contractual arrangement is the only way to put accountability into rail transportation.

Contracts would spell out penalties for non performance by either party.

We need to do a speaking tour across Canada like the railroaders have done telling the story: the cost to the Canadian taxpayer, economy, growth, jobs, reputation of Canadian logistics, which begin with the railway.

Business in Canada has failed to comprehend the cost to the economy as a whole.

It is time to tell the story.

I was thinking the same thing Vicki.
Get the presidents of all prod group together, in each province, to go on tours of town hall info and question forums across their provinces.

Firstly to field questions from their members and find out what it is their actions the members want them to take.

It is the members money that is financing them and in a lot of cases I think they are feeling unheard. Yes thy could phone but most farmers are hesitant to use the phone or media for one reason or other.

It would cost next to nothing to put on just have to pay for venues and maybe a little coffee. Most farmers would either glad pay for a meal if it was provided or in more cases would forgo eating to get answers and be heard.

I don't mean paying some motivational speaker to travel around, like most are doing now. I think farmers are motivated enough to talk/act but is the industry motivated enough to listen?

Certain segments are likely more than happy with the current status quo(other than Producers), GrainCos would likely prefer better rail service as well. Why aren't they our allies regarding this matter? What about the other customers of the RRs any issues in other segments or just ag commodities?

                Wmoebis and westernvicki

Very good ideas. So why are no farm groups initiating this?

Groups talk about X amount of production but no plan to get to world markets?

All farm groups run by producers seem to be silent?

SWDC should be able to start this.

                Where Is APAS or keystone?

I am sure Tom is talking to wcwga.

These groups that represent farmers can talk about R and D but it won't help unless all these good things can physically make it to market in a timely fashion.

Even if farmers chase the feed market we need transportation to improve.

Madam Justice of the Alberta Curt of Appeal...

                      Leave to Appeal DENIED,

CN/CP and all there velocity... WIN on all counts!

Farmers have no say... no rights under common law... ONLY legislation defined and implemented with very specific and careful wording... can control the Railways!

The reasonable expectation... of a reasonable person... can not stand against the great loaded freight train...

                          That's too bad Tom.

I can see them winning the first go but not to hear the appeal seems odd.

                          You need bigger paper bags.
