Agree that grain growers should not let shippers off the hook in rail shipping situation.
We are so fixated on rail monopoly powers that we ignore the graincos role in regulations that large elevator companies gain advantage from.
Wonder if it was concern for farmers or their own short term well being that led graincos to resist change to revenue cap that could encourage greater grain shipping capacity.

I agree with hop and braveheart - it's time for line companies to stand up for those who keep their lights on . They have been strangely quiet

Just making fun. I fully agree GrainCos have been strangely "publicly" quiet. Has the WGEA made any public statements? Also, ask SF3 what I told him about being singled out....

Good point. Last year P&H sent texts and emails with their daily prices asking farmers to call their MPs.

They were pretty quiet. Considering the families have the government's ear alot faster than any individual farmer.

There is no excuse for the system considering the winter we had this year. And the graincos are just as much to blame. Maybe more. They should have stepped up vocally last fall.

This time the graincos are playing the victim card and laughing all the way to the bank.
