    Wheat belly

How in god's name does this Dr.William Davis not get sued over these out right lies he has made up about eating wheat. The organic/natural crowd that are buying into this are mind boggling to say the least. the fifth estate did an investigation into this so called Dr.(and I use the term loosely) and his claims that wheat and grains cause everything from cancer to gastro intestinal diseases to diabetes to joint failure and on and on and on. They had experts debunk every one of his claims, they are out right lies made up to feed off of the organic crowd for his direct profit. This is the same crowd that wants to eradicate vaccinations also by the way. I honestly believe that you can make up anything you want about food true or not and profit from fear on the internet and television. A&W came up with the best one yet with their hamburgers and now other fast food outlets have to match their bullshit to compete. It seems like if the natural/organic crowd like what your story is it doesn't matter if its true, half true or pure bullshit they will slam you into the ground if you DARE doubt them and their wisdom on food or environment.

    What next already.

What drives me nuts as well is they are claiming all wheat, barley is GMO . If that is the case all seeds from every crop grown is GMO according to this b/s .
That includes - coffee, g****s for wine - well basicaly everything ...

I am not a proponent of these messages. Although, there is enough people who think they want different food products. I am trying to grow grains that fit into their expectations. I just try to sell people what they are asking for. I dont see the harm in that as long as I am not bashing regular farmers. We are all trying to make a living. I dont grow wheat because it seldom pays. Nothing to do with wheat belly.
I do think there is a nutritional crisis in North America which has been created by the food industry.
I eat chips and drink pepsi watching very insighful food documentaries. The underlying theme to all of them is proper nutrition. Fruit nuts veggies grains. Not chips and pepsi! Then there is the dash of organic and non gmo talk. They are valuable if you can see the real message.
One very interesting one is called "forks over knives". Not so good for the animal guys but worth watching.

Can anyone explain to me why anything GMO on a grain or vegetable farm is the end all of Monsanto produced poison, but all of the GMO marijuana being produced with super high amounts of THC higher and more potent than anything ever grown before, and I saw a documentary on it,it is being genetically modified more than any soy bean, canola, potatoe or corn plant by far is just fine? Round up ready canola to make oil for deep fryers=bad......changing genetics in pot plants so you can get ****ed right up on one or two puffs=healthy?!

Agree Dr. Davis sounded like a quack, making millions on an idea in a book. Have not read the book.
Any one read Grain Brain by Dr Perlmutter?
                  Quotes many studies and references.
Still blames the gluten and insulin response to sugars.
Also discusses fats and oils, omega 3,6,9. All of us are sensitive to an extent. Everyone reacts differently.
Makes you wonder...if such bad press for wheat/grains/breakfast cereal/processed oils/margarine, is correct, boy have we been duped by BIG business!

The real reason for food health issues is plain and simple. To much sugar and salt in North American diets.

Until Governments in power start to regulate food processors on amounts being added nothing is going to change.

But let's not forget who are the biggest lobbyists in Washington and Ottawa.

Just think if this so called doctor took on the food processors, what would happen then.

And that hot "food babe". Lots of hypocrisy there but it's free advertising for the organic movement.

Reason he does not get sued is no farm organization has... hmmmmmmmm indeed what are the wheat commissions, & WGRF are doing to counter the voice?

Perhaps a worthy task for Mark.
