    wm,

Our customers needed and bought our grain... when they did... because they NEEDED the grain.

The end users expect our grain... on time and on quality spec. With bad shipping logistics this is not possible.

So... we take a discounted price... months late... and a few measly $/t can compensate to the depreciation of our product by 10 percent?

Why EXACTLY... are the RR not rebating grain growers that 10 percent... instead they take with impunity... the lack of rail service provided... for granted...and a right in the name of profit for Shareholders!!!

Again it goes back to every one wants the farmers to increase their yields every one. But if we do will it be 2014 all over only worse.
My guess is all of western Canada would get shitty deliveries on contracts then maybe all farmers would realize that their is a problem. Its the old not in my back yard so must be good.

I think I mentioned this before.

Why don't farmer rep groups set up a meeting with all the other industry players, determine their levels of service required and tell the railway what they expect.

And with the backing of the regulator or government. Instead of the railways telling the government what they want.

Think you have converted tom in one year. Remember what he was saying last year.

You have to take the little victories.

            Bucket,

I was being nice.... AND CANADIAN.... by giving a large portion of good will.

Not wanting a Writ of Execution placed against my land and family... (Court costs had not been assigned then)

What would you have done, had you been in my situation???

              Tom

With your connections there would have been a long sit down with all parties provincially and federally maybe even municipal.

And it would have ended with a pat on the back.

                  WRONG.

It ended with a 'Writ of Execution' for $423,000 on my farm land...

and I was Nice to the railroads... by your own admission!

                  THAT SURE WENT WELL...

                    Shit.

I meant to say it wouldn't of ended with a pat on the back.

The mps job is to ensure what's happening now doesn't.

It's been two years running now.

Only a couple or so posts on this thread might be considered neutral or optimistic about grain farming.
Can only hope landlords who are holding out for higher rent payments are watching.
Could even be why some renters are so pessimistic while they talk up the plight of others and also report on own success.
Pretty hard to make believable argument.

                        Sorry Hopalong;

                        I apologize for these posts.

I should not have critical of the railroads. Please forgive me.
