    Positive Thursday!

Boy is this a hard thread to write. AG more than ever is a great slogan but if Industry doesn't build up their side to handle the extra production is it really worth it.
But for a positive spin on Farming its the Awesome March weather. Farmers have a spring in their step as snow is gone in some areas or starting to leave.
The great work it black experiment seems to be doing what was expected and has a few open darker areas in fields but still lots to go for snow. Rest is still a shitty sled day but you could sled.
Forecast till looks great for the next 7 days. High plus 12 on Saturday and Rain Monday.
Funny lots moving snow away from drills or cleaning up grain bags. Moving snow from water ways so flow isn't slowed. Love the spring run off map, do challenge the water department on their run off stats. Their is shit all moisture in the snow word of advise don't lower our lakes to much other wise were going to have a shitty summer of boating. Ah boating and fishing.
So yes its hard to find things positive about Farming but if you look really really hard you can find them.
Best winter in 10, Bring on Plant 15!

B-Say-Tah at Fort Qu'appelle sent an e-mail saying slightly higher than normal water level predicted. Can you believe? Who are these level predictors? Unless there is a lot a snow in the West that I don't know about.

I am at a loss on these run off numbers too. For us, we will be about normal, but from what I have seen and heard, this is not a very big area with normal snowfall.

Was down at Fort Quappelle last week. Stubble was showing everywhere. We could drive anywhere on the lake we could possibly desire.

The "work it black" experiment failed miserably here. Those fields are black and opening up but ditches and fence lines are black too!

The sick part is, our standing stubble fields have the same amount of open ground yet the stubble was full of snow. Our ditches have white snow except where the odd snowmobile stopped and left oddly shaped yellow patches.

All white and COLD here. Stubble showing on hills, 2' in lower spots, cat tails filled to the top. White reflective cold! Max 7C forecast next 15 days! Enjoy your BLACK warm
Another positive! Harper will be at SARM today...our worries are over!, unless delegates roll over and play dead.

Work it black is working in our area.
