What was the ice crossing opened this year about a month? The ferry is a must to ride for the prairies.

Let's make him an offer on a package deal. A BroadAcre style farm, geographically spread out to spread the risk, sure recipe for success.

There is guys farm both sides of river (best of two worlds). Not sure I would want to spend life chasing and relying on the ferry tho. Pits when your 2 min late.

A month - tops. For the ice crossing this year.

That lake is something else. I have seen open water at Christmas. Open spillway in June. High water. Low water. Rainbow trout releases. Record rainbow trout. Great pickerel. The perch ate making a comeback.

Yep remember a guy that went canoeing on Xmas day and skating, same cove, on New Years day.

Some big fish been pulled out, for sure. Some people don't realize that it is there or what they have.

20 minutes to a lake, great fishing year round. golf courses within 30 minutes.
Prairie chicken and partridge. Canada geese and ducks.

Mule deer white tail and moose.

2 hours max drive and you are in Regina or Saskatoon.

30minutes to 1 hour drive to hit a grain delivery point....

Probably applies to most farms in Sk! Does ours too.

Serveral lakes within an hour. 4 golf courses within 30 minutes. I dont care for golf. Deer that occationally bed down under spruce tree 50 feet from house. A dog that dont give a shit. But likes the scraps. Wmoebis I would like to know the fishing spot. Last time there did not get much. That was 30 years ago.

Been about that long for me too!

Google: "Diefenbaker lake Saskatchewan fish" then hit images. You will be amazed.

When the trout got out years ago it really messed up the balance. It's coming back now.

                                The trout are real predators.
