Acres per foot of drill ??

With those bigger drills 75-85 ft, are guys getting 100 ac / ft of a drill?
For about $750,000 you could have put a 75 ft drill/airtank/quad together today at Richie Swift sale. New would be $1.2 mill plus I would think. I am just curious as how many acres guys pencil in for these outfits. 7500 ac / outfit / year ? More ? Less?
We are set up for about 60 ac / ft of drill.
A lot will depend on area, some will shoot for 100ac/ft in drier areas or more some may get 75ac/ft or less in wetter areas.

I am doing 68 per foot here has been working easy. Depends on hoe much labour one has I am quite minimal I think. Would think 100 or more would be easy doable in your area.

Depreciation on tractor and drill this year will be 6 dollars per acre. Another way to look at it.

Not new not old so one dollar per acre cost for maintenance unless something major comes up. Upgrading will give higher cost per acre. If I retire in five years what is best. I think not to buy.

Depends on area of province. A 86 ft in swift you can seed more than a 86 ft in the mud zone.
            Just saying.

plenty in my neighbourhood do 20,000 to 24,000 with one 85 ft seeder.
Average 1000 acres per day 2 sprayers in front

In the 70's, I seeded over 1,400 acres with a Number 10 IHC 12 ft. disc drill, and a 830 2 cy. Johnny Popper., no cab, 4" electric drill fill auger that never worked half the time, so was faster to fill drill with a 5 gallon pail. Today I drive by the neighbour, and they got 5 brand new 84 ft Bourgaults, all with the 950 tanks and now that they will seed about 7,000 acres per outfit. I guess this is called progress.

131 acres/ft last year 20 hr days. 65 acres/ft this year by adding 2nd drill. Don't expect to double productivity the first year but hoping for 50% gain
