Does that mean your going to vote for change next election? I highly doubt it.

Once you realize what you typed your next post will state God Bless Prentice and Danielle Smith.

With the wear and tear on roads and the amount/distance traveled on public roads I am surprised that grain trucks are still able to be licences as farm vehicles and exempt at all.

We certainly have no business getting a break on gasoline. Should pay full tax on road fuel. Oh right, I forgot all the 80 yr olds want their stickers!

          Blackpowder,

I too agree about gas for road use. Field use Diesel needs no road tax... it is simply a tax and spend grab from Ag and forestry industries that is not justified since roads are not used.

blackpowder: Yes, we want our "stickers" and why not? Without the farms and farmers this CON-run province would grind to a halt. WE and our forebears made this province what it is...not the foreign oil companies who influence the government at present. The oil resource has been developed with "special concessions"...the Farm Fuel Exemption balances things out a bit. Don't kid yourself...in a few years, it too will be reduced if not eliminated. In the meantime...we will MOTOR ON before the politicos have their way.

Wilagro. The next time your at a light in your suv look over at the waitress or janitor in their old focus beside you and tell them you need 4 cents and they dont.
              Unless I misunderstood your post.

blackpowder: No problem, their old beater is probably newer than my old 1/2 ton which is 31 years old and still running It still brings home the salt blocks, plywood, posts and other FARM supplies...even hauls grass seed, weed spray, grease, motor oil and repair parts. Through a stock rack on 'er and I can bring home a calf or two from the auction mart as well.

Nice to have that FARM sticker on the licence plate...signifies an honourable occupation...at least it doesn't say SLIMY POLITICIAN.

Unfortunately neither you or I are in the majority. The majority of farmers dont need/ abuse the exemption on gas.
The majority of public sees privilege. Being smug or out of touch doesnt help anyone.
