When a rail company cans a couple thoasand works and gets rid of a bunch of locamotives right when there is a all time high for rail shipping. How is anything supposed to work. Cp should be forced right off the rails

I can't believe people don t comprehend the scam going in between rail and grain cos with basis.

Basis high they don t want it basis low they do. There is a world market running 24 7 that wants the crop. We re missing the true value of that market because the rail only wants to move certain things certain times. The grain co s use that to fk around with basis resulting in lower prices than what should be it s free *** money to not take our grain theft is what it is. Not to mention the real cost that buyers must say screw canada let's get the grain somewhere else.
Let's get our own one line of track and our own rail fleet that loss in *** basis would
Pay for that in no time
And we d be making money on top if it.

      Such a wide spread geographical
Area as us with all these resources and we don't have a government with enough brains to realize the importance of moving things to the coast or elsewhere. No wonder there is such limited manufacturing and processing here you d never sell anything anyway

Would make a guess that, for ninety per cent of the grain, free market is working pretty well similar to Australia.
Local area has had good rail movement, sympathize with those in areas that have not.

Don't forget the complete opposite in commercial storage between Oz and CA.
          80% vs 12%.

Australia has a port clause and is not landlocked.

Right, grain companies or somebody would have to build a lot of storage either in country or at port. We get the movement our infrastructure allows even if everything else was perfect. To get perfect movement with everything on farm would be quite an achievement.
Do we start with investments in rail or storage? Oh wait, no one wants to pay for it. And the railroads and govt. play hide the soap!
